Duties: You will take samples, calculate physical and chemical measurement results, and present your own results in test reports. The checking, adjusting and calibrating of measuring equipment and devices will also be part of your assigned tasks. You will carry out physical-technical investigations, and you will undertake whole series of tests. You will determine the properties and behaviour of materials.

Duties: You will learn to read and use technical documents (primarily maintenance schedules), and to specify and prepare the work steps and work equipment to be used for production purposes. You will manage production processes – in some cases also on a computerised basis. The monitoring and ensuring of product quality will also be an important part of your work. You will record and monitor work processes and work results. You will set up and load production equipment, and you will service and maintain it.

Duties: You will carry out process-oriented production tasks and prepare work processes. You will also set up machinery and equipment, and you will retool and operate it. Your field of activity will include checking the operation of machinery, monitoring production processes, managing the flow of materials, documenting production data, and carrying out quality assurance measures.

Duties: You will ensure that machinery and production facilities are ready for operation, and you will manufacture device components and machinery components and assemblies. The assembly of machinery and technical systems will also be included in your range of tasks. You will then set them up, put them into operation, and check their functions. In addition, you will undertake the servicing and maintenance of the plant. You will ascertain the causes of faults and you will order suitable spare/replacement parts or make them yourself, and you will carry out repairs. After completing assembly and checking/monitoring tasks you will instruct your colleagues on how to operate and handle the machinery.

Aufgaben:
As a materials tester you will be actively involved in the company’s quality assurance process. You will take samples from the production process, and you will examine them and check whether the products meet the customer’s requirements. You will do this by using a variety of materials testing/inspection procedures, and you will be an acknowledged materials engineering specialist.
You will acquire basic metalworking skills, knowledge of production procedures and processes, and an in-depth knowledge of materials. This will give you the ability to identify and analyse errors in products, and to specify reliable ways to avoid sources of errors.
What are things made of? If you’re interested in this question then you already meet the basic requirement for working as a materials tester. Materials testers are indispensable in the metal industry because it is their trained eyes that decide whether or not materials are suitable to be used in production operations. This means that you will bear a very high level of responsibility because you will have to identify and report any errors or defects. Duties: You will learn the basics of manual and mechanical materials processing. Your tasks will include the setting up and operation of machine tools; the creation, checking and optimisation of machine programs; the planning, control and optimisation of work processes, and the evaluation of work results. You will check the dimensional accuracy of workpieces to within thousandths of a millimetre by using measuring and testing devices, you will draw up reports including acceptance reports based on the test results, and you will service and repair damaged or worn-out tool parts.

Duties: You will install electrical components and systems in the fields of power supply, industrial plant or modern building management and automation systems. You will regularly service these types of plant and you will extend and/or modernise them, as well as repairing them in the event of a fault. You will also install wiring and cabling systems including power and information cables, and the electrical fitting of machines with associated automation systems will also be among the tasks that you will have to carry out. You will carry out programming, configuration and inspection tasks in relation to systems and safety equipment, and you will organise their set-up and instruct future users in their use.

Duties: You will manage business processes within the company. Your materials management role will include comparing quotes and negotiating with suppliers as well as the management and storage of incoming goods. You will undertake production management tasks involving the planning, control and monitoring of the manufacturing of goods, and you will prepare accompanying documents for orders. As part of your role within the sales field you will draw up calculations, compile price lists, and undertake sales negotiations with customers. In the accounting and finance fields you will process, book and monitor the company’s business transactions. In the Human Resources field you will determine staffing requirements, you will assist with the recruitment and selection of staff, and you will plan the deployment of staff.
