Long Night of Research 2026 – 24 April 2026 in Ranshofen

On 24 April 2026, Austria’s largest event for science, research and innovation, the Long Night of Research, will once again open its doors. We look forward to welcoming you to our booth at Ranshofen Castle from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Admission is free.

In 2024, numerous visitors took the opportunity to learn about research and innovation at local companies. Our team had their hands full and enjoyed the exciting conversations with the visitors.

HAI Extrusion Partner Summit in Ranshofen – Exchange, Technology and Future Perspectives

On 20 November 2025, we were pleased to welcome our extrusion partners to our site in Ranshofen. Together, we experienced an intensive day filled with new perspectives, technological innovation and open dialogue.

The fascination of aluminium became tangible – from the production of a billet to impressive robotics technologies and new approaches to sustainable strategies.

In dialogue with our management and experts, participants discussed current challenges such as tariffs, CBAM, metal management mechanisms (LME) and scrap passports. They learned how HAI ensures a resilient supply chain for its partners through strategic foresight and sustainable solutions.

Pathways to decarbonization for the aluminium industry

In our webinar on Microsoft Teams on November 27, 2024, we explained to all interested parties how they can minimize their carbon footprint and achieve their sustainability goals.

Our sustainability expert Marlene Johler gave detailed insights into HAI‘s sustainability strategy, our green energy initiatives and our commitment to climate neutrality by 2050. There was a particular focus on current regulatory requirements, as they are of great importance to many companies. Our guest speaker Djibril René, Director Industry & Market Intelligence at European Aluminium, shared his insights on current trade and regulatory topics with us.

ALUMINIUM Düsseldorf, 08-10 October 2024

ALUMINIUM is the world’s leading trade fair and B2B platform for the aluminium industry and its main user industries – the focus of the trade fair is on solutions for automotive engineering, mechanical engineering, building and construction, aerospace, electronics, packaging and transport.

As an important industry gathering, the world’s largest aluminium trade fair was a fixed date for HAI in 2024. At the 210 m² booth, the focus was on dialog with customers and visitors as well as “What’s new at HAI”.

The Battery Show Europe – Stuttgart, 18-20 June 2024

From June 18 to 20, 2024, Messe Stuttgart opened its doors for the Battery Show Europe – the leading meeting place for the battery, electric and hybrid vehicle technology community to showcase the latest innovations and solutions.

For us, customer proximity, economic security and a trusting partnership in cooperation with our employees and customers are extremely important. Together with our colleagues from Riftec GmbH, our experts were on hand to answer questions and were delighted with the lively exchange.

Long Night of Research 2024

Every second year in spring, initiated by the responsible ministry for research, Austrian research facilities and organisations are opened to the public during “The long Night of Research“. Providing information and promoting the spirit of innovation from Austria are important to us. That is why we were also represented as HAI Group at the Long Night of Research in 2024 – the largest event for science and research in the German-speaking world.
Numerous visitors came to Schloss Ranshofen to find out more about research and innovation at Austrian companies. The HAI team had their hands full and really enjoyed talking to the visitors.
