HAI becomes strategic shareholder in Aluminij Industries
Ranshofen/Mostar, (11.03.2026) – Hammerer Aluminium Industries (HAI) announces the acquisition of a stake in Aluminij Industries, marking another strategic milestone in its growth and sustainability strategy. The partnership brings together two strong industrial companies that want to jointly shape the future of sustainable aluminum production in Europe.
The decision to join forces is based on both companies’ clear focus on innovation, the circular economy, and long-term industrial development.
Securing metal availability in challenging times
“Especially in geopolitically challenging times, secure access to aluminum on the European continent is a decisive competitive factor. With this partnership, we are strengthening our industrial base in Europe and securing additional long-term access to primary and recycled metal within Europe. This increases our resilience, reduces dependencies, and supports our strategic focus on security of supply,” says Rob van Gils, CEO of the HAI Group, emphasizing this decision.
HAI as a know-how partner – focus on recycling and casting
HAI is contributing to this partnership in particular as a knowledge partner. HAI’s expertise in the Casting Division, especially in the processing of high scrap content, will support Aluminij Industries in significantly increasing the use of recycled material in the future. “Our expertise in recycling and processing aluminum with a high scrap content ideally complements Aluminij’s modern infrastructure. We look forward to our future together,” affirms Rob van Gils.
