HAI impresses at ALUMINIUM 2018 in Düsseldorf, Germany

Hammerer Aluminium Industries was among the exhibitors at ALUMINIUM 2018 in Düsseldorf from 9 – 11 October. The world’s largest aluminium trade fair is an important industry meeting and a firm fixture in the trade fair calendar for extrusion and processing experts.

At the world’s largest trade fair for the aluminium industry, visitors at the Hammerer Aluminium Industries booth had the chance to witness the aluminium expert’s high level of solution expertise for themselves. HAI’s unique manufacturing depth makes it possible to cover all relevant areas of innovative aluminium processing. Thanks to the products of Hammerer Aluminium Industries, the company’s partners are best prepared for the challenges of the (digital) future.

With around 1,000 exhibitors and 27,000 visitors, the ALUMINIUM trade fair in Düsseldorf reflected the current momentum in the aluminium industry. In addition to aluminium production and plant construction, there was a particular focus on product innovations for the aluminium application industries. This provided the perfect environment for HAI to present its solutions to complex requirements in construction & commerce, industry and transport to an international trade audience.

Aluminium – Material for the Future

The Aluminium Conference 2018, which accompanies the trade fair, was also dominated by innovation topics. The spotlight was on applications and processes for increasing energy efficiency and reducing weight. Real-world applications and innovation processes were presented and discussed by representatives from the entire aluminium industry.  Andreas Schiffl, Research & Development at HAI, revealed his latest findings in the field of aluminium materials development.

E-mobility project secures 170 million euro contract 

In 2018, production for a EUR 170 million contract for a well-known automotive supplier will get underway at HAI’s Ranshofen site. For the first electric SUV from Daimler, Hammerer Aluminium Industries will manufacture parts of the battery boxes in lightweight construction with new alloys. HAI’s profiles ensure that the battery of the electric car remains completely protected in the event of a crash. For this e-mobility project and future ones, the Austrian aluminium expert is making a multi-million euro investment in a new production hall and facilities. 

Successful days in Düsseldorf

The high-calibre trade visitors from over 100 countries experienced some exciting discussions on future topics in the lightweight construction sector. HAI’s large exhibition booth was very busy on all three days. For the trade fair team and HAI’s management, it was clear once again that personal contact at the trade fair stand is appreciated by existing and potential customers, and offers new insights for everyone involved.
