HAI honoured with Lean & Green Management Award 2021

Hammerer Aluminium Industries receives the special award „Circular Economy“ from the renowned Lean & Green Management Award 2021 for its proven services in the field of sustainable production.

Ranshofen (23/08/2021) – The aluminium expert Hammerer Aluminium Industries (HAI) relies on sustainable performance in all business processes. HAI receives the special award “Circular Economy” thanks to a consistent reduction of CO2 emissions through sustainable operation along the entire added value.

Special award „Circular Economy“ 2021 for the HAI Group

In the internationally renowned Lean & Green Management Award HAI was the only Austrian company to prevail against strong competitors in 2021. Together with brands such as Siemens, Porsche and Bosch, Hammerer Aluminium Industries was pleased to receive the coveted award.

The special award „Circular Economy“ confirms HAI’s success in establishing a sustainable recycling economy in aluminium production.

Focus firmly set on green shift

The Austrian aluminium expert HAI relies on sustainability along the entire value added chain: sustainable management, recycling of aluminium, green sourcing and green energy as well as eco-friendly processes constitute the pillars. HAI is a pioneer in climate protection. The aims are achieved through the use of 80 % recycling material on an average, optimised production processes as well as primary aluminium from certified production, produced with electricity from renewable energy to 100 %.

Sustainability: success factor & social mission

At HAI the commitment to sustainable performance results in popular products: the CO2 footprint of the alloys SustainAl 2.0 and SustainAl 4.0 from Ranshofen’s aluminium expert is far below the European average.

The HAI group

Hammerer Aluminium Industries employs 1,800 people. The company was founded in 2007 and has its headquarters in Ranshofen in Upper Austria as well as seven further locations in Germany, Romania and Poland. HAI can look back on a great success story. It combines dynamics and the innovative spirit of a young company with the experience of a traditional business. For 2021 HAI forecasts a turnover of around 570 million euros in the three production areas Casting (foundry), Extrusion and Processing (mechanical further processing). The products of the HAI Group can be found in the construction sector, automotive, transport and electrical engineering as well as mechanical and plant engineering.
